Skylight Information
This information was provided by a current Ticonderoga resident, for the benefit of other residents with Skylights.
After many estimates from $500 to $2000 to add a sun shield material to the skylights, a friend told us about a product from "EASY GARDNER" (Waco, Texas)- It starts out as a kit which is originally designed for outdoor patio covers, that includes 43 feet of cable, mounting brackets and hooks.
You simply mount these on the inside of the beam at the skylights and cut the cable to the appropriate length. We chose a better material than what was offered and had a local upholster custom cut sun semi sheer material to fit the width and length of the skylights - Total project was $200 and works very well without blocking light, reducing heat with the high ceilings and our furniture is protected.
Of course, homeowners need a very tall ladder!
This product can be purchased at ORCHARD HARDWARE for $49.99 and the material ranges from $85.00 to $150.00 - Esthetically it looks great - Thought we'd share this with the homeowners. We've seen a few units in our complex that folks have tried to curb this problem but most appear to be very costly or are not accessible. With our cable system, we are still able to slide the material along the cable for more light in the winter -
Ticonderoga Pool/Spa and Tennis Court Facility Rules
The pool, spa and tennis courts are available for the enjoyment of residents and their guests. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping these areas clean and tidy, as well as abiding by the rules below:
Hours: 8am through 11pm daily
Children: under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times
Beverages: unbreakable containers only. No glass
Food: allowed only at functions approved by the board of directors
Pets: no pets allowed beyond the pool gate
Guests: up to 4 guests allowed per residence. Must be accompanied by resident at all times.
Tanning lotions: no oil-based lotions
Radios: radios/cassette players with earphones only
Smokers: unbreakable ashtrays only. Clean up after yourselves. Do not leave ‘butts’ or matches on the lawn or around the pool.
Behavior: no running or other disruptive activities around the pool/spa
Gate: keep gate locked at all times – no exceptions
Spa: replace cover when finished. No babies allowed in the spa
Trespassers: please report all trespassers to the property manager or san mateo police (911)
These rules have been established for the health, safety and enjoyment of all residents. Please help enforce them.
